I’m going to come out and say it, the Tesla Motors company really excited me when it first showed up. They started with the Roadster, a sports car that was pure electric and boasted one of the longest ranges of any electric vehicle at the time. Not to mention being fast.
Then they announced the Model S, the sedan version which could be ordered with a 250 mile battery, and seated seven! Also about half the price of the Roadster.
Looking at their site, there’s also the Model X, an all electric SUV. I know little about this yet, but you can bet I’ll be researching it soon.
Now, there’s a little announcement about their newest project.
Solar powered charging network that allows you to charge the cars for free. Just absolutely incredible. I want one of these even more now.
What are your thoughts, think this is a good idea for more companies to pick up?

Absolutely a good idea. Electric cars and efficient ways of charging them ought to be high on the list of automakers’ priorities, but Big Oil doesn’t fancy that idea much. The next car I get will definitely be a hybrid, and if there’s a chance to go all-electric, I’ll take it. When filling my my bitty bitty Civic costs $50, it’s time to start moving forward. (It was time twenty years ago, but that’s rather moot now.)
Great post.
I’ve got an Accord, and yeah, 50 bucks per tanks, and I’m filling every week if I’m active. It’d be nice to own a pure electric (Especially since I don’t drive far, most of the time). Thanks for stopping by, Emmie!
Love the Tesla. But you should also check out Frisker models. Frisker electric cars were developed by one of the founders of Tesla.
More awesome to choose from.
Wow, Fisker’s are absolutely beautiful cars. Glad to see this marketing opening up. Thanks for sharing, Elizabeth!
