Welcome to Blog Killers, the ‘what not to do’ guide to blogging. Breaking one of these rules might be forgivable, but breaking too many is a sure way to get me to remove your blog from my regular rounds.
I’ve mentioned keeping it short, and part of the reason is the propensity for bloggers to ramble. Instead of providing their points simply, they go the long way around and telling anecdotes that may not apply to their point. Not to discourage anecdotes, they’re quite popular blogging tools, but make sure the ones you use lead logically to the purpose of your content.
Also, remember to get to the point, some bloggers end up setting up a long post to argue their point, and forget to ever make it. Remember writing essays back in school? You need a conclusion!
